Welcome to the Greyhound Derby 2008 at Wimbledon Stadium and sponsored by Blue Square.
The Greyhound Derby 2008 gets underway on the 2nd May 2008 and runs through the whole of May with the Greyhound Derby Final 2008 on the 31st May 2008.
Wimbledon has hosted the Greyhound Derby since the closure of White City in 1985 and since then there have been some great winners. One of the most notable was the 'Double Champion' Westmead Hawk who came from last to first to win back to back victories in 2005 and 2006.
The last 3 years have seen trainer Nick Savva and Bob Morton claim the title of 'Supreme Champion' twice with 'Hawk' and last year with Westmead Lord, a feat that must have been thought impossible to achieve. So who will be the winner of this years event ?
The first round heats get under way on the 2nd & 3rd May 2008 with the second round heats on the 9th & 10th May 2008. We will be featuring the Trap Draw Round 2 and the Trap Draw Round 1 here just follow the links in the tool bar above.
Together with Stansted Taxi Services and Airport Executive Cars we will be running trips to Wimbledon for all the race nights. Transport will be leaving Stansted Airport at 17.00 as to be sure to arrive at 19.00 for the first race each evening and returning 15 minutes after the last race each evening.
